The homes
Almost everything here is an apartment: glass towers around South Quay, Millharbour and Wood Wharf, older 1980s and 90s riverside blocks along Westferry Road, and a handful of converted warehouses. Layouts are compact, ceilings are often dropped for services, and kitchens and bathrooms are usually internal rooms with no window.
What to plan for
Most leases need a licence to alter from the freeholder or managing agent before work starts, and many require acoustic underlay under any hard flooring.
